The Restoration and Family Safeguard (RaFS) Program at Unique Minds Consultancy (UMC) offers a

holistic, comprehensive service designed to support families through the complexities of the family law

journey. From pre-separation to post-court matters, our program is tailored to meet the diverse and

evolving needs of parents and children, ensuring a focus on safety, well-being, and healthy co-

parenting. We work with families at every stage, providing the necessary tools, guidance, and support to

navigate this challenging process with minimal conflict and a priority on the best interests of the child.

Our services include:

Supervised Contact:

Our Supervised Contact service helps families rebuild positive connections in a safe, structured

environment, particularly for parents and children needing support to develop secure attachments after

separation. The service includes initial assessments to understand family dynamics, supervision and

observation during visits, and detailed reports with data on attachment and adjustments, along with

recommendations for future support.

Parenting Coordination

Our Parenting Coordination service helps parents reduce conflict and improve communication,

fostering a positive co-parenting relationship. It includes conflict resolution strategies, guided decision-

making on issues like schedules and healthcare, and educational resources on communication and

conflict management. This structured process helps parents transition from conflict to cooperation,

reducing court involvement and creating a stable, low-conflict environment for children.

Co-Parenting Counselling

Our Co-Parenting Counselling helps parents navigate post-separation dynamics while prioritizing their

child’s well-being. It includes child-focused strategies, conflict resolution, communication techniques,

and skill-building to improve decision-making and cooperation. The process offers individual and joint

sessions, ongoing assessments, and follow-up to ensure positive, lasting changes for families.

With a client-centered, trauma-informed approach, the RaFS Program is designed to guide families

through the complexities of separation and family law matters. We provide the expertise, resources, and

support needed to reduce conflict, avoid repeated court involvement, and help families build a healthy,

cooperative future. Our services ensure that children’s needs remain at the forefront, promoting long-

term well-being and stability for families in transition
