Supervised Contact for Separating Families:

UMC also offers a unique supervised family contact model which supports children and parents to connect and build positive attachments with family members they do not live with or connect with outside of our service.  Our Supervised Contact Model provides a method of gathering data to assess categories of attachment for both parent and child and childhood adjustment during family visiting time.

UMC’s supervised contact I for separating families includes:

  • initial assessments
  • supervision and observation which is tailored to support the individual needs of the family and includes parenting education components
  • and a report which outlines the data gathered about the families contact and recommendations for future intervention and support.
FEE: $270/hr for contact and report writing
